Beach Themed Easter Basket
This year seems like it’s flying by, and it’s already time to start planning for Easter. I absolutely love building fun Easter baskets, and this year I decided to go with a fun beach themed basket. Before we know it summer will be here and beach trips and pool days will finally be here. Since my family loves the pool I thought this would be the perfect theme for this year. For this basket I found some fun things to enjoy pool side, a new book, beach towel, flip flops, sunglasses, nail polish, a hat, and even some homemade sunscreen.
Next I strolled down the Easter candy aisle, and picked up all our favorite candy. I love the cute Easter themed candy and picked up SNICKERS® Bunny Canes, Skittles® Bunny Cane, Hubba Bubba®, and DOVE® Milk Chocolate Bunny. I already called dibs on the DOVE® Milk Chocolate Bunny.
The best part is you can get everything you need at Walmart. It’s the go to Easter destination this spring. You can also find some other favorite candies there like Starburst® Funsize Cane and the new DOVE® Peanut Butter Egg.
My favorite part is my homemade sunscreen. It’s honestly so easy to make you will be shocked. I started with coconut oil and some Shea butter. I placed them all in a small glass bowl, and mixed it well together until everything was creamy.
Next that I added the Zinc Oxide ointment. Mix this into your sunscreen mixture.
Last is optional but I added some essential oils: eucalyptus and lavender. Eucalyptus has some natural SPF, and lavender is great for your skin. You don’t have to add any essential oils, but if you do make sure to NOT add any citrus oils since citrus could actually attract the sun more. You can either place an air tight lid on the glass bowl or add it to a jar for keeping.
Everything you need:
1/4 cup Coconut oil
1/2 cup Shea butter
2 Tbsp Zinc Oxide
Optional: 3-4 drops of eucalyptus and lavender essential oils.
