Growing up we always referred to this recipe as Cheesy Potato Casserole. I've seen lots of other recipes and they call it crack potatoes or funeral potatoes. This one is basically the same. The one big difference is we don't top it with the cereal. My mom never liked it that way so instead, we added more cheese on top. The more cheese the better in my book. Without fail, this Cheesy Potato Casserole will be on the table every Thanksgiving, every Christmas Eve, and every Christmas. We love it that much and I hope you enjoy it just as much. Another reason I love this recipe, little work! Dump all your ingredients into a casserole dish and mix. Bake and you are done!

So I went to make this, and read the recipe as two bags of 12 oz frozen potatoes. Seemed really dry when I mixed it, then decided to check the video and you said one bag?

Hi Jan. I am so sorry that happened I think that I worded it weird and went to update. Thank you so much for point that out.

I don't even know how I ended up here, but I thought this post was great. I do not know who you are but definitely you are going to a famous blogger if you are not already 😉 Cheers!

This would be OK to make in the crock pot wouldn't it? Have to travel about 45 mins with it
Jennie
Yes Sabrina! I have made this in the crock pot before. I posted the recipe here, http://thediaryofarealhousewife.com/easy-slow-cooker-cheesy-potato-casserole/. I think it works great in the crockpot =) Hope you enjoy!
