Any mama out there want more sleep? Want their kids to get more sleep? I have a DIY solution for you!
I love this DIY After Bath Bedtime Lotion, and use it not only on my kids but myself!
For me taking a bath is so relaxing. I could sit and listen to music or read a book and then go right to bed after. It’s a completely different story for my boys. They love to take their nightly bath, but it in no ways calms them down. Splashing, laughing, playing, getting my bathroom floor soaking wet. They get out of the bath and want to run and ready to play.
To help my boys calm down after bath I made them a DIY After Bath Bedtime Lotion. I use coconut oil, shea butter, and relaxing essential oils.
When making anything with essential oils you want to make sure you are getting ones that are pure. Especially if you are using them on your children. I only use Rocky Mountain Oils and have really loved them. I used Lavender and Peace and Quiet and mixed them into my coconut oil and shea butter.
I keep mine in a sealed mason jar and keep in the bathroom for after bath. We put it on after every bath, put on the kids PJ’s, and read a story. I can honestly say for us our bedtime routine have been going well and helps the kids relax and get right to bed! I also use the lotion myself! I’m usually so busy all day and night that I don’t really have that time to relax and calm myself before bed. I started using this my DIY lotion and it’s helped me calm down in the evenings and relax and get ready to sleep.
