I wanted to share with you all another piece to my gallery wall! I can’t wait to show you the reveal! This project was pretty easy. You may be seeing a pattern here. I love easy DIY projects!
I really love all the design in the frame, it makes me feel fancy, which is why I like to call this my fancy chalkboard!
I found the frame at Michael’s, and only paid $2.99 for two of them! Score! Cheap DIY projects are up there on my love list right under easy ones!
Isn’t it pretty!
Okay here is what you need;
– Paint, I used off white, but use whatever you like
– Paint brush, I used the sponge brushes you see in the pictures
– Chalkboard paint
– A thin piece of cardboard
– Hot glue and gun
First paint your frame. and let it dry completely.
I used to think piece of cardboard for my chalkboard. You can use whatever you think may fit. Just make sure it is thin so your frame will lay on your wall.
Paint your cardboard with your chalkboard paint. This may take a few coats before it is dark enough!
Wait till your cardboard is fully dry, and then glue it to your frame.
You will want to make sure it is large enough to just fit, but not be to large where you can see it behind the design.
I love chalkboard paint! You can turn anything you want into a chalkboard. Use whatever frame you have and turn it into a chalkboard!
Hope you all enjoy!
