Put a smile on your neighbors face this Christmas with an easy apple pie in a jar.
It’s finally done, we are moved in, well kind of! After being homeless for weeks my family is finally in our new home and settling in. I know getting 100% in will take a good while, but I’m happy we are here and going to celebrate Christmas in our new place. Christmas is always a great time to share time and get to know your neighbors and since we just moved in I really wanted to stop by with a treat. Last year I made tons and tons of cookies for our neighbors. This year since was a little different for us. Moving in just 2 weeks before Christmas doesn’t give me tons of extra time in the kitchen. Let’s be honest, moving or not Christmas time is a crazy time and we are all extra busy. This year I came up with a super easy and oh so yummy idea for a food gift for the neighbors. Apple Pie in a Jar.
I stopped in Walmart to grab my Marie Callender’s® Dutch Apple Pie and Reddi-Wip®.
First pop that pie in the oven. It only takes a little over an hour to bake and I let mine cook while we ate dinner, and the neighbor’s gifts were ready by that evening. And yes I got a pie for us. I couldn’t let
myself my family smell that pie baking and not be able to eat some!
I used my mason jar top to know how much pie to cut. Cutting and scooping into your jar pie and crust!
I layered mine, Marie Callender’s® Dutch Apple Pie then Reddi-Wip® and again until your jar is full.
Top it with more cream and some of that great streusel!
Also sharing these adorable free printables for you to put on your pie jar. Throw on the lid, tie on the tag, and share! Because sharing joy and sharing pie is pretty much the same thing.
